This exciting mid-day program is being led by our fabulous Canadian guests - Laura Jane from HUB Cycling in Vancouver, British Columbia and Jean Beaudoin, a Montreal architect and engineer with Nomade Tactical Urbanism in Montreal, Quebec.
During the program, Laura will explain how Vancouver doubled the number of people biking for transportation. Jean will share stories of how Montreal has transformed miles of streets to be lively and welcoming places to walk and enjoy.
Come curious, and leave inspired by how we can transform our streets to meet our community needs better!
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from local organizations actively working to transform Seattle streets to be better places to walk, bike, and live after the presentation at booths.

Donna Moodie
Chief Impact Officer / EcoDistrict Executive Director Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle
Donna Moodie is an accomplished board member, community leader, and entrepreneur with 25+ years of success leading programs aimed at improving economic development, community engagement, safety, wellness, and equity/inclusion throughout the Seattle region.
Donna regards a viable ecosystem as the foundation for a livable city, with environmental resilience and sustainability. Donna has been recognized repeatedly as a space-maker, place-maker, and trendsetter able to bring diverse stakeholder groups to the table to accomplish great things and drive meaningful change. Her extensive knowledge of small business issues and funding challenges drives her activism and support of the small business community.
Ms. Moodie is the Chief Impact Officer at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, where she also serves as the Executive Director of the EcoDistrict. Ms. Moodie is the Board Chair of the Seattle Foundation Board of Trustees, the Finance Chair for the Grist Board of Directors, and serves on the Arte Noir Board. Donna enjoys hosting dinner parties, and listening to great music and is an avid reader and paddle boarder.

Laura Jane
Executive Director of HUB Cycling
Laura Jane is the Executive Director of HUB Cycling, a non-profit organization dedicated to getting more people cycling in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Laura has been championing cycling in Vancouver for more than a decade. In addition to working for over six years at HUB Cycling, Laura spent four years leading active transportation initiatives for the City of Vancouver municipal government, launching and overseeing a variety of walking and cycling programs.
Laura holds a Graduate Diploma in Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She has also lived for extended periods in many cycling cities, including Copenhagen, Strasbourg, and Valencia.
Jean Beaudoin
Nomade Tactical Urbanism Architect & Engineer
Jean Beaudoin is a registered architect and engineer for Intégral Jean Beaudoin (www.integral.archi), and his non-profit organization, Nomade Tactical Urbanism.
With over 25 years of groundwork dedicated to innovative urban revitalization through tactical urbanism, his unique expertise in enhancing walkability and addressing mobility issues has been crucial in developing projects that transform spaces and promote sustainable, community-centric environments.
Jean Beaudoin's approach to urban design is enriched by his ongoing doctoral studies in art studies and practices at Université du Québec à Montréal. His academic and professional endeavors converge on the belief that the future of urban living hinges on sustainable, community-focused development, establishing him as a constructive voice to reposition America's main streets as the most important space of neighborhoods.
