Shaping Seattle: Community Crossroads

Shaping Seattle: Community Crossroads

Community Crossroads is an event that highlights the transformation of some of Seattle’s most dangerous corridors into streets that better serve the needs of the communities they pass through. Leadership from local activists has initiated the process of reimagining communities along Aurora Ave N, MLK Jr. Way S., and in the South Park neighborhood—transforming them into safer, more vibrant places for everyone.

Join Seattle Neighborhood Greenways for an evening of conversation and inspiration as community leaders share their experiences, challenges, and hopes for creating safer, more vibrant neighborhoods.

What to Expect

The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Dhyana Quintanar Solares, a global expert in urban transformation. Dhyana is a global expert in sustainable mobility, public space, and urban design, with decades of experience transforming cities in the U.S. and Mexico. She’s led large-scale projects that made streets safer, more inclusive, and vibrant, and will guide the evening’s conversation on turning dangerous streets into safe, welcoming public spaces.

Community Crossroads will provide attendees with opportunities to connect, learn, and contribute to a shared vision for the future of Seattle’s streets.

Dinner and childcare will be provided, and interpretation services are available upon request.

Featuring:
