Feast in the Street 2022

Thank You

We are grateful to everyone who lifted up our movement at Feast in the Street 2022! What a joy it was to share this moment with 175+ friends, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and newcomers from across the city!

Together we raised more than $70,000 for our critical work ahead!

Music, Food & Festivities for All

Feast in the Street will feature Mexican street eats from hyperlocal Recetas de Abuelita, wine and beer courtesy of Eleven Winery and Burke-Gilman Brewing, plus refreshing non-alcoholic options! We'll enjoy beats from DJ Toya B and a live performance from Seattle band Balcony Bridge! Fun activities for the whole family include a scooter course and helmet giveaways courtesy of Lime!

Lifting Up Our People-Powered Movement

Our coalition has made great strides for people walking, rolling, biking and accessing transit in Seattle, with many hard-fought victories in the last year. Recent wins include $50 million to redesign a portion Aurora Avenue, one of Seattle’s most dangerous streets; the repeal of King County’s inequitable and ineffective helmet law; and progress towards the first safe, connected bike route between downtown and Southeast Seattle, planned for the spine of Beacon Hill.

We’ll hear from brilliant community leaders and storytellers — including Anna Zivarts (Disability Mobility Initiative), Nura Ahmed (Whose Streets Our Streets), Renaissance the Poet (Whose Streets Our Streets) and Tammy Morales (Seattle City Councilmember) — who will inspire a shared vision of our streets-for-people movement. Our Executive Director Gordon Padelford will share how, together, we can build momentum for a safer, healthier and more equitable city.
