Shaping Seattle Series: Mobility Justice

Showing up for Mobility Justice

THANK YOU to all of our amazing speakers, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and supporters who came together for Mobility Justice, the second event in our Shaping Seattle live panel series!

Shout out to our fabulous host Edwin Lindo (Estelita’s Library, NorthStar Cycling, UW School of Medicine), all the youth future leaders, Rosa Lopez (Reconnect South Park), M. Lorena González (ACLU of Washington), and Ethan Campbell (Whose Streets? Our Streets!) for lifting up how we can move toward mobility justice.

Ethan and Lorena showed us how we can fight for safety and equity on our streets. Rosa inspired us to reclaim what divides and pollutes our communities to rebuild a healthier future. The future leaders of Whose Streets? Our Streets! prompted us to reflect on what mobility justice means for our communities.

"This is the work that changes outcomes in our communities. This is the work that makes me feel safe," Edwin shared at the close of the program.
